I kombinasjon med tråklesømmen fra rettsiden er det alltid en søm på vrangsiden som fester sømmonnet til stoffet (vist til høyre i Figur 2). Dette er som oftest en leggsøm som gjerne er lite synlig på rettsiden. En søm som vist på Figur 2 beskriver jeg slik: Stoff B er brettet inn og ligger over stoff A som er ubrettet. En tråklesøm i gyllen Z2S fra rettsiden har festet de to stykkene sammen. Sømmonnet har blitt festet med en leggsøm med grågyllen Z2S over gyllen S” (betegnelsen på trådene er kun eksempler). Stingavstanden både for de ulike sømmene er vanligvis ca 0,5 cm, og vil ikke spesifiseres med mindre sømmen er svært grov eller fin.
